![]() I usually spend most of my day at work or on the go, not at home cooking, and I right now live in a cooperative house which makes meal prepping difficult because “leftovers” get eaten up quick by housemates (this summer I’ll be moving to my own place where I have a kitchen all to myself to alleviate this problem). While I recommend getting your protein from whole food sources whenever you can, I realize this isn’t always practical. I typically don’t get enough protein in my diet, and when I started “eating healthy” again one my quick fixes for that was to buy and sample a bunch of different store bought protein bars. By keeping a detailed log of my caloric intake and energy expenditure, I was able to start losing weight and decrease my body fat percentage as I continued to see performance gains. Last December, I began using MyFitnessPal to track my diet and exercise. ![]() While an active and healthy lifestyle has always been important to me, my interest in fitness, sports nutrition, and human performance experienced somewhat of a revival within just the past six months or so. ![]()
